d. Recommended Plugin — Contact Form 7

Contact forms on the homepage Contact section and the Contact Us page work in two modes:

After you activate Dine Corner Pro, if Contact Form 7 is not active, an admin notice appears with:

Note: You can use the site immediately without Contact Form 7. Install it later whenever you want CF7 forms; the theme switches automatically and syncs shortcodes when the plugin becomes active.

2. Homepage Setup

The homepage is built from shortcode-based sections managed in the Customizer. Each section can be enabled, reordered, and styled independently.

12. Contact

Frontend: Home Sections Settings » Contact

Contact section

Left panel with address, phone, and email; right panel with the contact form. All copy and styling are managed in the Customizer.

How the form is chosen

The theme only renders a shortcode if its tag is registered (so inactive plugins never show raw shortcode text). Resolution order:

  1. Contact form shortcode field in Customizer (e.g. [contact-form-7 id="123"])
  2. Form shortcode stored in section content (if present)
  3. First published Contact Form 7 form (when CF7 is active)
  4. Form shortcode found on the Contact Us page content
  5. If none of the above is available — built-in theme form

With Contact Form 7

  1. Install and activate Contact Form 7 (or use the theme’s admin notice).
  2. Create or edit a form under Contact » Contact Forms.
  3. Optional: paste the shortcode into Customizer → Contact form shortcode. Leave it empty to auto-use the first CF7 form.

Examples:

[contact-form-7 id="123"]
[contact-form-7 title="Contact form"]

Validation tips and failed submissions use red styling; successful sends use green (CF7 .sent state).

Without Contact Form 7 (built-in form)

When CF7 (or another form shortcode plugin) is not active, the section shows the theme’s built-in form:

Tip: Set a valid email under Customizer → Home Sections Settings » Contact » Email so built-in form submissions reach your inbox.

Open a dish in the live preview when you edit these options: click the violet Post Settings panel in the Customizer left menu (see left menu guide), then open Dish Post Settings or Dish Post Colors. The preview loads a published dish so you can see layout and color changes immediately.

Layout & Content Shortcodes

Social & Contact

Prefer leaving the Contact section / Contact Us page to auto-resolve the form. Paste a CF7 shortcode into Customizer → Contact form shortcode only when you need a specific form. If CF7 is inactive, the theme shows its built-in form instead of printing an unprocessed shortcode.
